From Mechanical Engineer to B2B SaaS GTM Strategist — Avinash Vagh

I build and market B2B SaaS products. Here's my story — what I do, what I've shipped, and what you can expect from this blog.

B2B SaaSGTMProduct MarketingCareer Story

I didn't plan any of this.

Engineering degree. No clear path. A growing feeling that building things on the internet was more interesting than anything a textbook could offer.

So I started writing.

Not because I was good at it. Because it was the only lever I could pull.

That decision compounded.

Three years later, I've managed end-to-end marketing for three B2B SaaS products simultaneously, an AI coding tool, a verifiable credentials platform, and a museum ticketing solution.

I grew a product from 300 organic impressions to 140,000+ in 3 months. I led a Product Hunt launch to #17 out of 365+ products with zero paid spend. I built and sold a newsletter to 1,000+ US subscribers.

None of it came from a marketing degree or a fancy job title.

It came from doing the work, studying what worked, and iterating relentlessly.

Here's what I actually do.

I help early-stage B2B SaaS companies go from zero to traction.

Not the theory version. The actual version — content strategy, SEO architecture, community building, product launches, sales enablement, founder branding. The full stack of things that make a product visible, credible, and wanted.

My framework is simple:

  • Understand the customer's problem better than they do
  • Build content that earns trust before asking for anything
  • Launch with community, not budget
  • Measure what moves revenue, cut what doesn't

Most marketing fails because it's built on assumptions. I work from first principles — research, experiment, observe, adjust.

What I'm building right now.

At ViitorCloud Technologies, I own GTM strategy for their SaaS portfolio. Alongside that, I'm building:

  • AccordKit – consent management for Indian businesses.
  • PromptNoon – prompt management for marketers.
  • IndieMap – a global map of indie founders.

I'm based in Ahmedabad, India. My goal is simple — work with ambitious companies worldwide, remotely, and help them build products people actually want.

What you can expect here.

I write about what I'm living through — not what sounds good in theory.

GTM strategy for resource-constrained teams. SEO that compounds without a massive budget. Product launches without a PR agency. Building personal brand as a founder or marketer. Remote work from India to the world.

No recycled frameworks. No LinkedIn-bro motivation.

Just the actual playbook from someone building in public, one product at a time.

If any of this resonates:

I'm currently open to remote Product Marketing and GTM roles with B2B SaaS companies in the US, UK, and Australia.

Or just follow along. Either way, glad you're here.
