Free · No signup · Up to 30 images
Remove AI-related file metadata, location details, and embedded prompts from your photos. Batch up to 30 images, keep the best available quality, and download cleaned copies in seconds for typical files.
For supported image exports from ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Meta AI, Claude, Perplexity, and other tools. Metadata cleanup does not remove every platform label or watermark.
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, HEIC / HEIF, BMP · Up to 30 images · Max 20 MB each
Cleanup starts automatically. Your images stay on your device.
Original quality retained for JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF. HEIC, AVIF, and BMP become PNG copies.
No upload · No signup · Filenames end in -cleaned
Removes supported file metadata, including EXIF, GPS, XMP, C2PA, and embedded prompts.
Visible watermarks, pixel watermarks, and platform labels may remain.
Strip GPS, device details, camera notes, and timestamps. Retain only orientation when it is needed.
Remove XMP records, PNG text chunks, generation parameters, and comments supported by the file format.
Remove embedded C2PA / JUMBF metadata. This does not erase an image’s origin or pixel watermarks.
Keep encoded image data and color information when cleaning JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF originals.
Keep original GIF, APNG, and WebP animation. Transparent pixels stay intact in supported originals.
See what was removed, what was kept, and whether a file was converted. Damaged files get a clear error.
Select up to 30 images. Cleanup starts automatically, with original quality retained where supported.
Check each removal report. The tool verifies the output file and flags unsupported files.
Download individual images or one ZIP. Keep your originals for your own records.
EXIF can record GPS coordinates, camera details, and capture dates. XMP, IPTC, PNG text chunks, and content credentials can describe editing history or generation settings. This tool removes supported metadata stored inside the file.
Some provenance survives file metadata cleanup. Google’s SynthID works within image pixels, and C2PA describes recovery of stripped credentials. A social platform may use these or other signals when applying a label.
Use the tool on files you own or have permission to edit. Continue to follow any disclosure requirements where you publish your images.
Select your images and cleanup starts automatically. The tool removes supported metadata, verifies the resulting files, and lets you download each copy or a ZIP of the cleaned batch. Your original files are unchanged.
It works with supported image files regardless of where they were downloaded. The tool checks the file format rather than relying on the generator name. Metadata varies between products and exports, and some files may already contain no removable metadata. It cannot establish which AI product created an image.
No. It removes supported file metadata, including embedded C2PA credentials and XMP. Visible watermarks, invisible pixel watermarks such as SynthID, and labels that a platform has already applied are separate. Platforms can also use image analysis or recover provenance from other sources, so this tool cannot guarantee an unlabeled upload.
JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF are cleaned without re-encoding their image data. GIF, animated PNG, and animated WebP retain animation when you keep the original format. Single-image HEIC/HEIF, still AVIF, and BMP are converted locally to PNG by default. Animated AVIF and multi-image HEIC collections are not supported.
Original-format cleanup for JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF preserves encoded image data. Color information is retained, and only an orientation tag may remain from EXIF to keep photos upright. Conversion re-encodes the image. PNG conversion avoids lossy output compression but can change HDR, wide-gamut color, or bit depth; JPEG and WebP conversion use lossy compression.
You can add up to 30 images, with a maximum of 20 MB per image and 200 MB of input files per batch. Images are limited to 40 megapixels. Cleaned copies and ZIP downloads are limited to 250 MB per batch. For large converted files, use smaller batches if the memory limit is reached.
No image data is uploaded. Processing and ZIP creation happen in a local browser worker. Files and cleaned copies remain in this page’s memory until you clear the batch, close the page, or refresh it. The HEIC decoder is downloaded from this website only when needed. Downloads you save are stored by your browser.
It strips supported EXIF fields, including GPS, camera/device details, and timestamps, as well as XMP, IPTC, comments, text chunks, and embedded thumbnails where applicable. Visible information in the image, filenames, and filesystem dates are separate and are not erased by metadata cleanup.
HEIC decoding uses libheif-js and its open-source codecs.
